About BuilderCamp
Learn to build with your hands. Container homes, solar installations, tiny houses, off-grid systems, and maker projects — taught through weekend workshops and online courses for builders of all levels.
What this site covers
BuilderCamp is part of the WholeTech Network — a collection of 110+ websites covering technology, real estate, sustainability, entertainment, arts, community, and more. Each site focuses on a single subject and serves as a practical resource for people interested in it. Here, that subject is building things with your own hands.
Our approach
Every page is built to be useful, honest, and free of clutter. No pop-ups. No paywalls. No auto-playing videos. Just clear information, presented well. We believe the web should be helpful, not annoying — the same way a good jobsite is organized, not chaotic.
Who runs this
The WholeTech Network is built and maintained by an Austin, Texas team that has been making websites since 1996 — starting with one of Austin’s first online communities. Today the network spans 110+ sites across more than 100 domains, all running on a single server. BuilderCamp draws on years of hands-on residential, solar, and off-grid building alongside that software work.
